NI's compact controller brings Light Guide keyboard illumination, NKS ecosystem integration, and touch-sensitive encoders — ideal for Native Instruments users.
| Keys | 32 mini velocity-sensitive keys |
| Knobs | 8 touch-sensitive endless encoders |
| Light Guide | Full per-key RGB illumination |
| Smart Play | Scale, Chord, Arpeggio modes |
| Connection | USB-C bus-powered |
| Bundle | Komplete Start |
When you load an NKS-compatible instrument, the M32's eight encoders automatically map to the instrument's most important parameters. The display above each encoder shows the parameter name and value. Over 1,000 compatible instruments from NI and third parties.
Each key illuminates with RGB colour in context: in scale mode, playable notes glow white; in arpeggio mode notes illuminate as played; in chord mode, harmonies light up. Elegant, useful, and educational.
Scale mode restricts playable notes to a chosen scale, eliminating wrong notes. Chord mode adds intelligent harmonies. The arpeggiator generates patterns from held chords.
Specifically for Native Instruments users. If you have Komplete or Komplete Start, the M32 dramatically improves your NI workflow. For primarily third-party plugins, the Arturia MiniLab 3 offers better value.
The NI Komplete Kontrol M32 is excellent for NI software users with Light Guide integration, touch-sensitive encoders, and Smart Play. Outside the NI ecosystem it's less compelling. Know your software stack before buying.
