Sound Quality

The KA6 Mk2 achieves 114dB dynamic range — better than the Focusrite 4i4 at similar price. Both preamps handle condenser and dynamic mics with ease. Recording external synths via RCA phono inputs produces clean, transparent results.

Connectivity

Two combo XLR/TRS inputs, two RCA phono inputs for turntables or consumer gear, S/PDIF in/out for digital hardware, MIDI in/out. If your studio has multiple pieces of gear, the KA6 Mk2 handles it without a patchbay.

NI Integration

Tight integration with NI software. Komplete Start bundle provides NI instruments and effects. Strong bonus if you're in the NI ecosystem; irrelevant otherwise.

Who Is It For?

Producers with complex setups — multiple synths, turntables, MIDI hardware. Also for recording both analogue and digital gear via S/PDIF. Overkill for simple vocal-and-guitar recording.
