Focusrite Control 2 beta expands beyond Scarlett 4th Gen

Focusrite's latest articles say public beta support for Focusrite Control 2 is now available for more interfaces, including Scarlett 3rd Gen, Clarett+, Clarett USB and selected Scarlett 2nd Gen models. Producer Hub angle: useful if an older Focusrite box is still doing the job in a bedroom setup, but treat beta control software carefully. Check routing, direct monitoring and sample-rate behaviour before a vocal or instrument session.

Universal Audio's official launch notes describe Topline Vocal Tune as a native Mac and PC pitch-correction plug-in with ultra-low-latency monitoring, natural-to-hard tuning, pitch/formant Shift Mode, MIDI Repitching and automatic key/scale detection. Universal Audio's July UAD DSP 11.9.0 notes add Black Box HG-2 and elysia karacter for Apollo/UAD-2, plus Windows Apollo Thunderbolt improvements and SoundID Reference compatibility updates. UAD Console 1.3.0 and its July 8 supplemental fix focus on Apollo, Volt and E-series navigation, Volt 876 recall/linking fixes and monitor-output reliability.

Vienna Ensemble Pro 8.1 brings AI-assisted template control into the studio

VSL's official changelog lists VE Pro 8.1 with a public-beta MCP server so supported AI assistants can drive Vienna Ensemble Pro from its new MCP/API preferences area. The update also improves the Audio Input plug-in, adds shared-memory transport for sandboxed hosts such as Logic, expands variable-width input slots and follows with 8.1.834 fixes for event input, Blackmagic video devices and macOS hardware acceleration.
